BANDA BELZONI
En voyage
Once more, join for the Banda. Travelling. En Voyage, as the French would say. Back at work, to avoid any potential regret stemming from inaction. Acknowledging that primal sensations are not found in the universe of shapes, nor in the beauty of sound, but in the state of movement, of learning and creating. Without movement, one encounters but stillness. Destination and departure points are one and all, allowing the traveller to find himself accomplished and changed by the experience.
Banda Belzoni: the album, vinyl, CD and concept that have spread joy and were met with elation. It has been an extraordinary voyage for the Banda, a vibrant circus of artists, brought together by passion and vocation. The course they sailed on may have occasionally been crossed by foul weather, pushing the men at the very stretch of their capabilities, making them realise that at times, one is alone facing the unknown.
Along the journey, came new ideas from Sandro Bellu and Gigi Venegoni’s rich minds. Fulvio Bosio, Paul Mazzolini, Mauro Mugiati e Lino Vairetti were once again part of the fellowship. Fabio Zuffanti nodded in approval from a distance, but not too distant.
It’s been hard resisting the temptation of sharing the Banda’s latest achievements with those who cheered for it in the past, as well as with the other six billion people who are perhaps not so aware of it yet, and live perfectly well without it (they think).
This release is a gift containing old, new and borrowed items. As Confucius once said, “Wherever you go, go with all your heart”. And the Banda has joined once again. En Voyage. For the band. Now and always.

Una manciata di versioni inedite e/o alternative rispetto all’album Banda Belzoni uscito in vinile, cd e formato digitale con l’etichetta Maracash nell’ottobre 2019.
Riecco la Banda. In Viaggio. En Voyage, come si dice nella lingua franca. Al lavoro, perché – in fin dei conti – ciò che a più male è sempre quello che non hai fatto. Certi che a guardare le cose, a pensarle e a costruirle, la sensazione più importante non sia la rotondità delle forme o la bellezza dei suoni, quanto delle risposte che trovi nel movimento, nello studio, nella realizzazione. Perché se non sei in viaggio, sei fermo. Perché la meta è partire, liberi di tornare per ritrovarsi confermati o diversi a piacimento.
Banda Belzoni, l’album, il vinile, il cd e l’inseminazione liquida hanno disseminato gaudio e raccolto gioia. È stato un viaggio straordinario per la Banda, carovana di umani a cui si accede per vocazione e passione, visto che sono i viaggi che fanno le persone, brevi o lunghi che siano. Abbiamo battuto le strade e, quando necessario, imparato nostro malgrado che non tutti i cavalconi sono ciò che sembrano. Dio ogni tanto toglie la mano.
Lungo il cammino, dai forzieri ricchi di Sandro Bellu e Gigi Venegoni, sono emerse nuove idee e nuove tracce. Fulvio Bosio, Paul Mazzolini, Mauro Mugiati e Lino Vairetti non hanno permesso che si andasse da soli. Fabio Zuffanti ci ha seguito alla distanza dopo aver benedetto l’impresa. In effetti è stato impossibile resistere alla tentazione di condividere questi brani con chi è rimasto catturato dalla Banda e riaprire la porta a quasi sei miliardi di persone che non la conoscono e che vivono lo stesso bene (credono).
Questa raccolta è un dono. Cose vecchie, cose nuove, cose prese in prestito. Confucio ha scritto “ovunque tu vada, vacci con il cuore”. La Banda ha deciso di farlo. En Voyage. Ora e sempre.
