MaRaCash Records Italy
Ma.Ra.Cash Records is an indie prog label based in Vigevano (PV), Italy. Founded in 2005 by Massimo Orlandini and Domizia
Parri and Raoul Caprio, who left the label in 2007 and used to run his own prog label beforehand, (Kaliphonia) and a CD/LP shop in Milan.
Ma.Ra.Cash Records won the first edition of the ProgAwards as Best Indie Label.

I like "Beyond the Seventh Wave" pretty much - but it's follow-up album "The World is Flat" is even better, in my opinion. There's not a single song I need to skip, the tracks are balanced very well musically, and even the longer tracks are largely free of unnecessary twiddly bits. Basically, the music is typical Dutch symphonic rock à la "Kayak" with a wonderfully melodic e-guitar and lots of vintage keyboard sounds like hammond organ, mellotron, and Yamaha CP-style e-piano, but with some nice extras, brought in by the violin, flute, and french horn used in some of the arrangements. Since the band is not inclined to disclose its more contemporary prog influences, I'll make a guess: "Big Big Train"? Well, sometimes I'm reminded of this first-class band while listening to this album...

Je viens juste de découvrir cet artiste et au-delà des influences majeures dont il semble s'inspirer , cet album est tout simplement brillant et met en avant le talent de compositeur et de musicien de ¨Pete Jones. Les parties un peu plus "musclée" ne sont pas pour me déplaire . Du coffre , de la créativité et de l'émotion , voila les points forts de cet opus magnifique qui ne quitte plus mes enceintes en ce moment !
